This looks as though it might suffer story problems. The beginning made me think, Oooh, creepy! but then the whole thing seemed to devolve--as though, sigh, the writers didn't know where to go once they'd got the basic premise sorted.
Anyone know anything about this one?

Unfortunately it looks like another "Ooh, those amoral, unethical scientists are fucking everything up again!" I get so tired of this crap. "Some things weren't meant to be changed." Meaningless but emotionally compelling phrase.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, the apes will be even smarter than humans and can defeat a modern technological civilization because of their superior...um....er...whatever.
Crap SF, crap science, crap.
I could be wrong, though.
Mark, hair. Their superior hair.
ReplyDeleteNot an excuse, but maybe they didn't know where to go with the story because, essentially, everyone *knows* where the story goes :P
ReplyDelete(OT: Reading "Stay" and finding my throat clenching. Excellent stuff, ma'am.)
Cathy, but if everyone knows, what's the point?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're clenching in a good way...
The point? To answer that age-old question "How the hell did this (the original) happen?"? Because they can glom some pennies from the franchise? No idea.
ReplyDeleteRE: clenching...Yeah, in a good way :)
