Microsoft's hardware is surprisingly underrated. There was a time where you couldn't bribe me enough to use any of their software (*cough*WinMe*cough*) but you'd need a prybar to take my Microsoft keyboard and mouse away. The hardware was well designed, simple, and rugged.
They've taken a turn for the worse lately (xboxen, Zune) but I wouldn't let a Microsoft name on the label be the dealbreaker.
It looks very cool. But, "And it's a Microsoft product," is where I lose interest. I suspect problems with execution.
