Torture tree

I know the weather is about to change when the torture tree, the last holdout, starts to green.

Here's the tree on a misty morning two months ago:

The seasons really are moving along. Life is good. Happy Sunday.

  1. Thank you! Today is prepare-for-guests day at the K&N ranch--a special celebratory dinner for friends who have decided to move in together.

It should be a lovely evening--and outside the sun is shining.

  2. Even the torture tree dons it's veil, it's twisted limbs restored once more by spring - tortured no more. Is it relieved to regain it's privacy do you think?

    I love that tree.

    Happy Sunday.

  3. I couldn't say how the tree feels about it but once it leafs out, the hot-needle birds get a bit flummoxed. They love flitting in and out of the bare branches, snipping at bugs. The foliage, though, forms a pretty dense screen, like a green waterfall.
