vote

If you live in Washington State, here's your last reminder: if you don't vote on Referendum 71, you are no longer welcome in my home, real or virtual. No excuses. No exceptions. I'm deadly serious about this. It matters. Lives depend upon it. The lives of me and mine. Do your civic duty.
This also applies to folk in Maine: go vote.

  1. Good luck tomorrow. The biggest issue on my ballot will be pay-as-you-throw trashbags. (I'm in favor.)

On another forum, I found a compelling video of an elderly WWII veteran testifying in Maine in favor of gay marriage so that what he fought for could apply to all his children, not just the straight ones. I sent it to Val Stevens.

Not that it will help much as I have no connection to either Maine or Washington, but I felt I had to do something!

  2. Thanks.

    I've seen that video, too.

  4. Just came back from voting, I hope it goes well today. Wish I was able to cast a ballot in WA and ME!

  5. We'll get a preliminary tally this evening, apparently, then updates later this week. Not sure when we'll really know who's won.
