For your delectation and delight over at Sterling Editing, we have a new editcast on dialogue--Kelley plays Ming the Merciless. I do a vaguely grump blog post to accompany it--tub-thumping about what not (oh, not not not) to do. Hey, you try writing execrable examples; it's like pulling fingernails down a blackboard. Shudder.
Anyway, go take a look. Hopefully you'll find some of it amusing. Perhaps even educational.

Oh, I'm sure I could write some terrible examples without even trying. That's why some of us leave the heavy lifting to the professionals.
ReplyDeleteAnd, heading off-topic... thank you for the birthday card. It probably took you just a few minutes to do, but it totally made my day. So thank you.
I found it interesting as well as entertaining, and I'm not even a writer. Impressive.
ReplyDeleteStacy, it was my pleasure. I hope you'll have a fabulous day.
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I'm looking forward to talking about example of good--no, make that delicious--dialogue.
